Reflecting on the Indian Air Force’s illustrious history, the Defense Minister mentioned its pivotal role in national security. He recalled significant contributions such as the Kashmir airlift operation and the 1971 war, which bolstered India’s defense capabilities. Singh also referred to the recent Operation Sindhur, where the Air Force showcased precise planning and effective execution, demonstrating the critical balance between modern technology and skilled human resources in the success of military operations.
Singh pointed out the increasing significance of drones, satellites, sensors, cyber systems, and robotic technologies in contemporary warfare. He warned of the growing threats posed by cyberattacks and digital network vulnerabilities, emphasizing the necessity for military officers to develop expertise in technical and cyber capabilities.
